For those not aware, Gale Cengage (ugh) and Library Journal named the Seattle Public Library as the 2020 Library of the Year.
This is after the SPL hosted an event for the Women’s Liberation Front, a TERF and anti-trans group, and kept it amid public outcry (including from its own employees).
This is a petition created to request that Library Journal revoke its award to SPL, and instead donate its $10,000 prize to the Gender Justice League. It was composed by a number of librarians, including Dorathea Salo and Violet Fox, two librarians I admire.
